Description

You will design and maintain backend services, integration workflows, and distributed data pipelines using Java and Apache Kafka.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize RESTful APIs and enterprise integration patterns for upstream and downstream systems.
• Build and manage complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and schema designs within Oracle databases.
• Implement and troubleshoot Apache Kafka pipelines, including message production/consumption and schema management.
• Automate background tasks and cron jobs while maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Collaborate with functional analysts, QA, and product owners in Agile/Scrum environments to deliver solutions.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of strong Java development experience with object-oriented programming.
• Hands-on expertise with Apache Kafka for distributed data streaming.
• Proficiency in SQL and Oracle database performance tuning and optimization.
• Experience designing REST APIs and handling authentication and data transformation.
• Practical knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and tools like ServiceNow.

Preferred Skills

• Domain familiarity with Fleet Management, Vehicle Maintenance, or Inventory Management systems.
• Experience with work management tools like VersionOne.
• Ability to act as a technical SME for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
