Description

You will design and maintain scalable microservices using Java 17/21, Spring Boot, and AWS. This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy REST APIs and microservices with Spring Boot and Spring MVC.
• Manage event-driven architectures using Kafka, ActiveMQ, or Spring JMS.
• Orchestrate CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and manage containers via OpenShift.
• Monitor system health and troubleshoot issues using Splunk, Dynatrace, or ELK.
• Integrate external systems using Apache Camel and handle batch processing with Spring Batch.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Deep expertise in Java 17 or Java 21 and Spring Boot ecosystem.
• Proven experience with Microservices architecture and REST API design.
• Strong proficiency with AWS cloud services and PostgreSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with build tools (Maven/Gradle) and Git version control.
• Practical knowledge of message brokers like Kafka or ActiveMQ.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or ELK stack.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Medicaid or Healthcare systems (e.g., CalHEERS, CalSAWS).
• Familiarity with Autosys for job scheduling.
