Description

You will design, develop, and maintain business-critical, cloud-native enterprise services for passenger rail transportation systems.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design IT solutions by performing technical analysis on business requirements and priorities.
• Develop, test, and deploy high-performance services with a focus on availability and cloud-native principles.
• Write and maintain essential project documentation, including sizing, external design, and detailed design documents.
• Monitor and resolve production issues for assigned applications and systems.
• Apply Test Driven Development to create use-case scenarios and unit tests to identify and rectify defects.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of relevant work experience in backend development.
• Expertise in Java and the Spring/Spring Boot ecosystem, including REST and SOAP-based APIs.
• Proficiency in developing Data Access Layers using Spring Data JPA, SQL, and Hibernate.
• Hands-on experience with AWS technologies including EC2, S3, Lambda, Fargate, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, RDS/Aurora, Data Pipeline, CloudWatch, CodeCommit, CodePipeline, CodeDeploy, and CDK or CloudFormation.
• Experience with build automation using Gradle and Maven.
• Proficiency with Git in a CI/CD model.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
• Strong understanding of application security vulnerabilities and mitigation.
• Ability to work within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe 6.x) and agile delivery environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Atlassian Bitbucket and JIRA.
• Knowledge of Behavior Driven Development using Cucumber and Cypress.
• Familiarity with Twelve-Factor Application Methodology.
