Description

You will design and implement high-volume, transaction-based systems within a securities operations environment.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop J2SE/J2EE applications using test-driven development and automated testing.
• Ensure code quality through regular refactoring, pair programming, and code reviews.
• Coordinate major software releases and support critical production defects.
• Write functional and automated tests using frameworks such as FitNesse, Selenium, Spock, or Cucumber.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in software development, including testing and documentation.
• Strong Java development skills in J2SE and J2EE applications.
• Experience with messaging middleware such as IBM Websphere MQ, TIBCO EMS, or Kafka.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud environments, and Elastic.
• Strong database skills with experience in moderate to complex Oracle DB environments.
• Proficiency in Perl, Python, or Unix Shell scripting.
• Working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments.

Preferred Skills

• Minimum 2 years of experience working in Agile/SCRUM methodologies.
• Expertise in Test-Driven Development (TDD).
