Description

You will design, develop, and maintain business-critical, cloud-native enterprise services for passenger rail transportation systems.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design IT solutions by conducting technical analysis on business requirements and priorities.
• Develop, test, and deploy high-availability, cloud-native services following Twelve-Factor Application methodology.
• Produce essential project documentation including sizing, external design, and detailed design documents.
• Execute Test Driven Development (TDD) to create use-case scenarios and unit tests.
• Monitor and resolve production issues for assigned applications and systems.

Required Skills

• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong backend development with Java and the Spring/Spring Boot ecosystem.
• Experience building REST and SOAP-based APIs.
• Proficiency in Data Access Layer (DAO) development using Spring Data JPA, SQL, and Hibernate.
• Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, Fargate, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, RDS/Aurora, Data Pipeline, CloudWatch, CodeCommit, CodePipeline, CodeDeploy, CDK, or CloudFormation).
• Experience with build automation using Gradle and Maven.
• Familiarity with Git in a CI/CD model.
• Experience working within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe 6.x).
• Testing expertise using JUnit, Mockito, and PowerMock.
• Understanding of application security vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and 7+ years of experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber and Cypress.
• Experience with Atlassian Bitbucket and JIRA.
