Description

You will develop and maintain Java/J2EE applications focused on data processing and analytics within AWS environments.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Java/J2EE applications for data integration and analytics in AWS.
• Optimize SQL queries for data manipulation across large datasets.
• Automate data workflows using Bash or PowerShell scripting.
• Build and maintain ETL pipelines using Apache NiFi, Talend, or Informatica.
• Implement testing strategies using Selenium and JUnit to ensure data quality.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of total IT experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Java development and data engineering roles.
• Proficiency in Java/J2EE and strong working knowledge of SQL.
• Hands-on expertise with AWS services (Lambda, S3, Glue, Redshift, DynamoDB).
• Experience with RDBMS such as MySQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Cassandra.
• Experience with ETL concepts and tools (Apache NiFi, Talend, or Informatica).
• Knowledge of data warehousing using Amazon Redshift or Snowflake.
• Capability in data analysis and visualization using Excel, R, MATLAB, Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in financial systems, specifically risk or anti-money laundering (AML) domains.
• Relevant AWS certifications.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks in banking.
