Senior Java Developer to build and maintain scalable microservices in Pittsburgh, PA.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain distributed services within a microservices architecture.
• Develop, release, and support full-stack software projects alongside product owners.
• Troubleshoot and resolve critical production issues.
• Collaborate with the team to design new service components.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in software development.
• Expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
• Deep understanding of Microservices architecture.
• Proven experience developing RESTful web services using JSON.
• Strong knowledge of relational database concepts and query optimization, specifically Oracle and Postgres.
• Experience with AWS managed services and NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and Spring Batch.
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with modern monitoring and logging platforms.
• Working knowledge of Agile delivery and DevOps models.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with GIT, JIRA, and Jenkins.
• Scripting experience in Python, Perl, Ruby, Shell, or AWK.
