Description

Lead the migration of a client platform and enhance search capabilities through backend development and system modernization.

Responsibilities

• Develop new features in Java and Kotlin for Spring Boot microservices.
• Improve personalized search functionality and modernize data ingestion for faster indexing.
• Maintain existing microservices and onboard to client processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement optimal technical solutions.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise backend system design.
• Strong proficiency in Java and Kotlin.
• Extensive experience with Spring and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with search engines, specifically Lucene-based systems like Elasticsearch or Solr.
• Practical knowledge of semantic search, vector databases, embeddings, and LLMs.
• Experience with SQL and PostgreSQL.
• Deep understanding of enterprise application architecture and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with microservice architecture patterns and container orchestration (Kubernetes, PKS, or OpenShift).
• Experience working in production environments using Gradle and Agile/DevOps methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or caching layers like Hazelcast and Redis.
• Background working with distributed teams and US-based customers.
• Experience in hybrid cloud environments.
