Description

Design and implement scalable business rule solutions using the Drools Rule Engine within Java-based enterprise applications.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize Drools DRL files, decision tables, and rule flows for complex business logic.
• Build and maintain enterprise applications using Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data JPA.
• Integrate rule engines with Java applications, RESTful APIs, and microservices architectures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues related to rule execution and application processing.
• Collaborate with business analysts and product owners to translate requirements into technical specifications.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Java (8/11/17) and object-oriented principles.
• Hands-on expertise with Drools Rule Engine (Drools Expert, KIE API).
• Proficiency in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and microservices architecture.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL) and SQL.
• Proficiency with Maven, Gradle, and Git for build and version control.
• Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with BPM tools such as jBPM or Camunda.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
