Description

You will lead technical architecture and design decisions for consumer-facing applications, driving system design and making complex technical choices that impact platform scalability and user experience.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect RESTful APIs, defining contracts and integration patterns for high-traffic consumer applications.
• Build and optimize Java-based microservices using Spring Boot, Kubernetes, and AWS.
• Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions while coordinating with product management.
• Drive technical excellence through code reviews, design reviews, and mentoring to set coding standards.
• Own end-to-end delivery of critical features from design through deployment.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience in Java development.
• Expertise in Java 8+ and Spring Boot for building high-quality consumer applications.
• Proven experience building high-traffic, consumer-facing applications with a focus on scalability.
• Strong experience designing and developing RESTful services, including API versioning and rate limiting.
• Hands-on experience with microservices architecture using Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS.
• Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience integrating mobile applications (iOS/Android) using REST APIs.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with system design discussions for platform scalability.
