Description

Senior Java engineer owning development and support for investment banking systems, defining requirements, and managing feature priorities.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Define user requirements and set feature priorities throughout the development lifecycle.
• Conduct regression testing, write unit tests, and create user test cases.
• Coordinate with partners on schedules and activities, resolving production issues.
• Mentor team members, participate in recruitment, and own cross-team issues.

Required Skills

• 5+ years senior Java development experience, including Java 1.6 and multi-threading.
• Deep understanding of the Java VM and its impact on application performance.
• Experience with Spring and Apache Camel frameworks.
• Proficiency with messaging platforms such as Tibco EMS or RV.
• Experience with relational databases and Linux scripting.
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration, build repositories, and Agile methods.
• Background in cash or derivative asset classes within investment banking.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Ansible, Jenkins, and cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of Test Driven Development, Maven, and Jide/Swing UI development.
