Description

You will design and build secure, high-performance distributed systems using Java.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain object-oriented Java applications with a focus on performance and scalability.
• Design and implement distributed systems, including data structures, storage solutions, and caching layers.
• Build and consume RESTful services and manage message queues using SQS, SNS, and Kafka.
• Ensure systems meet PCI-DSS, PII, and SOX compliance standards through rigorous security and software frameworks.
• Profile and optimize service performance, managing CI/CD pipelines with Gradle, Maven, and Git.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of proven experience in software development.
• Strong proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming principles.
• Deep understanding of data structures and distributed systems.
• Experience with databases: Cassandra, Couchbase, MongoDB, and Oracle.
• Proficiency with messaging technologies: SQS, SNS, and Kafka.
• Experience with caching technologies: Redis, HazelCast, and Memcache.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and unit testing frameworks.
