Description

Design and develop large-scale applications in heavy data environments using Java and AWS cloud architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement microservices using Spring Boot, REST APIs, and GraphQL.
• Architect cloud-based solutions using AWS services including S3, Lambda, Step Functions, AMQ, SNS, and SQS.
• Build and maintain event-based architectures and queue-based implementations.
• Develop data processing pipelines using Spark and Big Data technologies.
• Manage deployment pipelines using DevOps toolchains including Jenkins, Maven, and Gradle.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of solution design and development using Java 8+, J2EE, Spring, and Spring Boot.
• Extensive experience with Big Data environments and Spark.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (S3, Lambda, Step Functions, AMQ, SNS, SQS, CloudWatch Events).
• Proficiency with Kubernetes and the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
• Solid experience with NoSQL (MongoDB) and ORM frameworks like JPA or Hibernate.
• Strong background in DevOps toolchains (Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible/Chef/Puppet, Maven/Gradle, Atlassian suite).
• Competency in Python and Unix scripting.
• Deep understanding of TDD/ATDD and non-functional requirements including Security, Transactions, and Performance.
• Experience with RESTful services and Microservices architecture.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with UI frameworks such as Angular or ReactJS.
• Knowledge of RDBMS or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with OAuth via Ping Identity, Apigee API Management, or Istio Service Mesh.
