Description

Build and maintain Java-based full stack applications, focusing on backend services, database optimization, and server-side UI components.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance backend services using Java 17/21 and Spring Boot, including RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Design and optimize Oracle or PostgreSQL database schemas, implementing partitioning strategies for high-volume tables.
• Build and maintain front-end pages using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and AJAX, leveraging Thymeleaf for server-side templating.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications on AWS ECS (Fargate), utilizing S3 and SQS for storage and asynchronous messaging.
• Write thorough unit tests with JUnit and Mockito, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Java 17/21 and Spring MVC/Spring Boot.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL with Oracle or PostgreSQL, including performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services: ECS, Fargate, S3, and SQS.
• Front-end development skills using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, AJAX, and Thymeleaf.
• Experience writing unit tests with JUnit and Mockito.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Jenkins.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Apache Camel for enterprise integration patterns and JMS/ActiveMQ.
• Knowledge of Python scripting for data processing.
