Description

Design and develop large-scale applications using Java and AWS cloud-based architectures. This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud-based solutions using AWS event-based architecture and microservices.
• Develop scalable microservices using Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and GraphQL.
• Manage heavy data workloads using Big Data technologies and Spark.
• Build and maintain automated deployment pipelines using DevOps toolchains.
• Implement non-functional requirements including security, transactions, monitoring, and performance.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in solution design and development using Java 8+, J2EE, and Spring Boot.
• Strong experience with Microservices architecture and RESTful/GraphQL services.
• Extensive experience with AWS services including S3, Lambda, Step Functions, AMQ, SNS, SQS, and CloudWatch Events.
• Proven background in Big Data processing using Spark and Python.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
• Proficiency with NoSQL databases, specifically MongoDB.
• Experience with ORM frameworks such as JPA and Hibernate.
• Solid understanding of TDD/ATDD methodologies.
• Experience with DevOps tools including Jenkins, Artifactory, Maven/Gradle, and Git/BitBucket.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with UI frameworks such as Angular or ReactJS.
• Knowledge of RDBMS or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with OAuth via Ping Identity, Apigee, or Istio service mesh.
