Description

You will build and maintain scalable, highly available distributed systems and backend applications in Dearborn, MI.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop new APIs and Android queues using Java and J2EE.
• Design and implement data-driven applications using RDBMS.
• Execute development and quality assurance activities, including integration testing and UAT with external vendors.
• Solve complex problems involving algorithms, data structures, and system design.
• Apply design patterns and Agile methodologies to the full software development lifecycle.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with a BS in Computer Science, or 3+ years with an MS.
• Proficiency in Java/J2EE and object-oriented programming.
• Experience with Spring framework and open source frameworks.
• Strong understanding of REST/JSON web services and standards.
• Hands-on experience with RDBMS such as Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, MySQL, or Informatica.
• Experience working in Unix-based development environments.
• Knowledge of QA methodologies, test automation, and automation frameworks.
• Competency in distributed system development.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with JUnit and Selenium.
• Background in the payments or financial services industry.
