Description

Key Responsibilities

Analyze, debug, refactor, and optimize Java applications across Java 8, 11, 17, and 21.

Diagnose CPU spikes, memory leaks, thread contention, latency, and scalability issues.

Perform root cause analysis using logs, thread dumps, heap dumps, and system metrics.

Optimize SQL queries, indexing, connection pooling, database locks, and transactions.

Analyze algorithms and improve time and space complexity.

Troubleshoot distributed systems, microservices, APIs, networks, and load balancers.

Design and troubleshoot multithreaded and concurrent Java applications.

Support containerized applications and Kubernetes environments.

Develop and execute performance and load-testing strategies using JMeter, Gatling, or similar tools.

Use profiling and observability tools to identify and resolve performance issues.

Work with caching technologies such as Redis to improve scalability and performance.

Collaborate with development, architecture, infrastructure, database, and production-support teams.

Recommend improvements to application reliability, scalability, architecture, and performance.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of professional Java development experience in enterprise environments.

Strong hands-on experience with Java 8, 11, 17, and 21.

Strong understanding of JVM behavior, memory management, garbage collection, and performance optimization.

Experience with multithreading, concurrency, synchronization, and parallel processing.

Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and Big O complexity.

Advanced SQL and relational database performance-tuning experience.
