Role Summary
Seeking a hands-on Java security and reliability engineer to support the production SCV platform and help move SCV features . The role combines secure application engineering, operational support, and Site Reliability Engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities
·        Maintain, develop, test, support, and enhance the legacy Java-based application running in production.

·        Use Spring and Spring Security to build secure and efficient application capabilities.

·        Support the migration of SCV features to the platform.

·        Perform bug fixes, automation, DevOps, engineering, and operational support activities.

·        Develop integrations and onboard tools that support business needs and the Morgan Stanley ecosystem.

·        Troubleshoot issues using logs, thread dumps, and network traces.

·        Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and Agile ceremonies.

·        Apply Site Reliability Engineering practices when managing applications and services.

Required Skills and Experience
·        Strong experience with Java, Spring, and Spring Security.

·        Strong understanding of data security principles and protection of sensitive information.

·        Solid understanding of HTTP/REST, TLS/SSL, authentication, and authorization.

·        Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across logs, thread dumps, and network traces.

·        Operational and engineering experience managing enterprise applications and services.

·        Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering best practices.

·        Ability to work within architectural standards, security requirements, and least-privilege principles.

Preferred Skills
·        Exposure to enterprise secrets management platforms.

·        Experience supporting IAM or credential-management applications.

·        Experience in financial services or another regulated enterprise environment.

·        Experience with incident and vulnerability management processes
