Description

Own the stability, performance, and reliability of large-scale Java microservices in cloud and distributed environments.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and problem resolution for mission-critical production systems.
• Design and implement resiliency patterns such as circuit breakers, retries, and failover mechanisms.
• Improve observability through monitoring, logging, and alerting automation using tools like Splunk, Datadog, and Grafana.
• Troubleshoot application and system performance bottlenecks in Linux/Unix environments.
• Coordinate disaster recovery testing, capacity planning, and production readiness reviews.

Required Skills

• 16+ years of experience in Site Reliability, Production, or Platform Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Linux/Unix administration.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes and Docker for container orchestration.
• Experience with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or ArgoCD.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Expertise in monitoring tools such as Splunk, Datadog, Prometheus, or Moogsoft.
• Proficiency in ITSM tools: ServiceNow, JIRA, and Confluence.
• Scripting skills in Python or Bash/Shell.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Banking, Financial Services, or FinTech sectors.
• Strong background in SQL and database troubleshooting.
