Description

Develop and maintain enterprise-level J2EE applications for external authorization and permit processing in Austin, TX.

Responsibilities

• Transform user requirements and SQL-driven prototypes into functional JBOSS JEE applications using Primefaces, JSF, and Hibernate.
• Develop business logic for tiered applications utilizing EJB, JSP, and established design patterns.
• Produce module specifications, unit test requirements, and integration test requirements.
• Implement applications in iterative cycles, ensuring compliance with W3C standards and accessibility requirements for screen readers.
• Create detailed flowcharts, models, and technical documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience developing web-based transaction and reporting applications.
• Proficiency with J2EE technologies, including JSF (1.2–3.0), EJB (3.0–3.2), and JSP (2.0–2.3).
• Extensive experience with Hibernate (3.3.2–5.4.15) and JDK (1.5–1.8).
• Strong expertise in Oracle RDBMS (13g RAC or later) and Oracle PL/SQL, including tables, constraints, and triggers.
• Experience using JBOSS IDEs and application servers (JBOSS AS/EAP 5.0–7.0).
• Proven ability to develop and consume web services.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, entity relationship diagrams, SQL, and data normalization.
• Knowledge of creating PDF documents within Java applications and defensive coding practices.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with data automation standards and systems administration technologies.
• Ability to coordinate and evaluate the work of others.
