Description

Design, build, and support scalable backend systems within a large-scale microservices environment.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend APIs, implementing system instrumentation for observability.
• Migrate existing API services and systems to cloud infrastructures.
• Build and support high-performance, scalable backend services.
• Collaborate with engineering and product management to meet development deadlines.
• Work across all phases of the product development lifecycle.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of Java software development experience.
• Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), data structures, and algorithms.
• Strong experience with Spring and Spring Boot.
• Proficiency in Linux and Shell scripting.
• Ability to write Python.
• Experience with multi-threading and concurrency.
• Experience working in large-scale, enterprise, or scalable microservices environments.
• BS degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with RDBMS, NoSQL, or Search Technologies.
• Knowledge of Distributed Systems, Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud environments (GCP, AWS).
• Familiarity with build tools.
