Description

Senior Java Software Engineer in Allen Park, MI, responsible for supporting the development, deployment, testing, and integration of multiple IT systems during a large-scale transformation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain large, complex applications, integrating them across multiple systems.
• Manage product vision, strategy, and roadmaps using Agile methodologies.
• Own backlog creation and management to drive project delivery.
• Communicate technical progress and strategy to vendors, customers, and senior leadership.
• Navigate complex client ecosystems to deliver results with minimal direction.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in software development and progressive project management.
• 5+ years of experience working with Agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and JPA-Hibernate.
• Experience with SQL and No-SQL databases.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run, Cloud Function, Dataflow, Data Fusion, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Compute Engine).
• Scripting expertise in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform.
• Version control and CI/CD experience using GitHub and Tekton.
• Security tooling experience with SAST and DAST (Sonarqube, CheckMarx, 42Crunch).

Preferred Skills

• Frontend experience with Angular, React, or similar JS frameworks.
• Project management tool proficiency in Rally or Jira.
