Description

• Design, develop, and maintain Java applications using Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• Build internal tools and user facing features that improve functionality and user experience.
• Practice Test Driven Development and build well tested, high quality software.
• Use AI assisted development tools to support coding, testing, debugging, and software quality.
• Collaborate with Product, DevOps, and QA teams in an Agile environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across development and production environments.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Mentor junior developers and support continuous improvement across the development team.

Required Skills and Experience

• 7+ years of professional experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• 7+ years of experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Strong experience designing and developing applications using microservices architecture.
• Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) and a strong focus on software quality.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Strong experience with Git and modern version control workflows.
• Experience working in Agile software development environments.
• Experience with or openness to AI assisted development workflows to support testing, code quality, and software delivery.
• Strong problem solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

• 10+ years of experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• 2+ years of practical Test Driven Development experience.
• Experience with front end technologies such as Angular or React.
• Experience modernizing legacy applications or breaking down monolithic architectures.
• Practical experience using AI assisted development tools, including coding assistants, within modern software engineering workflows.
• Experience mentoring developers and contributing to engineering standards and best practices
