Description

You will build asynchronous reactive microservices and internet-scale solutions using Java and Spring Boot.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Build asynchronous reactive microservices using Vert.x and Spring Boot.
• Design database schemas, implement index design, and perform query tuning optimizations.
• Develop REST APIs following Open API specifications.
• Implement messaging patterns using Kafka and MQ.
• Write test-driven code and conduct peer code and architecture reviews.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• Expertise in Java 11, including Lambdas, Streams, CompletableFuture, Optionals, and Generics.
• Proficiency in Java functional and reactive programming.
• Experience with Spring Boot (reactive) and REST API development.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka or other messaging systems.
• Strong knowledge of Test Driven Development (TDD) and mock frameworks.
• Experience with git workflows, Gradle, and load testing tools.
• Experience with workflow orchestrators, preferably Temporal.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with container orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Background in payment systems, real-time transaction platforms, or fintech API development.
