Description

You will migrate enterprise Java web applications from legacy systems to RHEL 8 environments while maintaining Linux infrastructure security.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Migrate web content from legacy systems to RHEL 8 servers.
• Develop and maintain applications using Java, Spring Batch, and related tools.
• Implement web security measures adhering to OWASP standards.
• Manage and maintain environments within Linux/RHEL infrastructure.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of professional experience.
• Expertise in Java and Java OpenJDK 1.8+.
• Proficiency with Linux/RHEL environments, including RHEL 6.x/7.x and RHEL 8 migration.
• Experience with Spring Batch 2.1.8 and iText-2.1.5.
• Familiarity with PHP development and the LAMP stack (Apache, MySQL).
• Experience with database interaction, including DB2 and Squirrel SQL Client.
• Knowledge of web security best practices (SQL injection, XSS, CSRF).
• Working knowledge of version control using GitHub.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with legacy system modernization projects.
