Description

REQUIRED:

• 8–9 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Java/J2EE and Core Java.
• Hands-on experience with Java 17 or newer.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot 3.
• Proven experience developing microservices-based applications.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and integration patterns.
• Experience with REST or GraphQL technologies, including Apollo or Spring GraphQL.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Experience with Docker and container-based development.
• Working knowledge of Azure Event Hub, Azure Cosmos DB and Azure PostgreSQL.
• Strong understanding of Azure VNet, private networking and cloud security.
• Advanced experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Experience with Git, GitHub and CloudSmith.
• Strong scripting and automation skills using Bash, Python, PowerShell, or similar tools.
• Experience with Dynatrace for application performance monitoring.
• Experience with Dynatrace and Mezmo for logging and observability.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with Databricks.
• Knowledge of FastAPI for supporting integrations, automation, or cloud-based services.

PREFERRED:

• Azure certification such as AZ-204, AZ-305, or equivalent.
• Experience with event-driven or streaming architectures.
• Knowledge of cloud cost optimization.
• Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical initiatives.
• Experience with cloud-native security and secure coding practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT AND ARCHITECTURE

• Design, develop, test and maintain Java-based applications.
• Build microservices using Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3.
• Develop and integrate RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Design scalable, resilient and maintainable distributed systems.
• Build reusable components, libraries, scripts and technical solutions.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Identify and reduce technical debt, duplication, latency and scalability issues.
• Partner with security teams to implement secure coding and application design practices.
• Evaluate technical risks and recommend practical mitigation strategies.
• Explore emerging technologies and develop prototypes when appropriate.

AZURE CLOUD ENGINEERING

• Build and deploy applications using Microsoft Azure.
• Work with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) for container orchestration.
• Use Azure Event Hub for event-driven and streaming architectures.
• Work with Azure Cosmos DB using the MongoDB API.
• Use Azure PostgreSQL for application data storage.
• Configure Azure VNet, private networking and cloud security controls.
• Automate the provisioning and management of Azure resources using scripts and templates.

CONTAINERIZATION AND DEVOPS

• Build secure and optimized Docker images.
• Manage application deployment, scaling and lifecycle in AKS.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Automate application testing, builds, deployments and operational processes.
• Manage source code and releases using Git, GitHub and CloudSmith.
• Use Bash, Python, PowerShell, or similar scripting technologies for automation
