Description

You will manage and optimize Apache Kafka clusters to ensure high availability, data integrity, and security.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Configure and manage Kafka clusters, including brokers, ZooKeeper, Kafka Connect, and Kafka Streams.
• Implement high availability and disaster recovery strategies, including backup and restore procedures.
• Maintain cluster security through data encryption, SSL/TLS, SASL, and Kerberos.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure stability and scalability.
• Collaborate with development teams to align Kafka configurations with business requirements.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience managing and administering Apache Kafka in a production environment.
• Deep understanding of Kafka architecture and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with ZooKeeper, Kafka Connect, and Kafka Streams.
• Proven ability to implement SSL/TLS encryption and SASL/Kerberos security protocols.
• Proficiency in monitoring Kafka using tools such as Prometheus or Grafana.
• Strong knowledge of networking and data flow management.
• Solid troubleshooting skills for complex distributed environments.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
