Description

You will define the roadmap and architecture for the NextGen Stream Data Platform built on Confluent Kafka. You establish implementation best practices and integration patterns for specific use cases. You build frameworks leveraging the Kafka ecosystem, including Kafka Connect, KStreams, KSQL, Schema Registry, and Apache Flink. You develop the DevOps strategy for hosting microservice and connector infrastructure within Azure. You mentor team members to build internal expertise in streaming technologies.

Responsibilities

• Define platform roadmap and architecture using Confluent Kafka.
• Establish implementation best practices and integration patterns.
• Build frameworks for Kafka Connect, KStreams, KSQL, and Schema Registry.
• Develop DevOps strategy for Azure-hosted microservices and connectors.
• Mentor team members on streaming technologies and distributed systems.

Required Skills

• 13+ years of experience in messaging middleware and distributed systems design.
• Expertise in Kafka Connect and the broader Kafka ecosystem.
• Deep understanding of messaging paradigms: pub/sub, queuing, and delivery models.
• Hands-on experience with Microservices architecture and the reactive model.
• Strong knowledge of integration patterns and messaging protocols.
• Experience with Apache Flink.
• Background in distributed systems operations and fault-tolerance architectures.
• Ability to implement quality-of-service and delivery models in streaming environments.

Preferred Skills

• Domain experience in Supply Chain.
