Description

Lead the architecture, development, and refactoring of critical Java-based applications and streaming pipelines.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Build, re-architect, and refactor Java codebases for high-scale production applications.
• Design and implement Kafka architectures for data consumption, publishing, and streaming.
• Develop Spark applications using Scala to process streamed data from Kafka.
• Optimize complex queries within RDBMS and data warehouse environments.
• Manage the full lifecycle of microservices and containerized applications.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience in Java development and codebase refactoring.
• 5+ years of experience with Kafka architecture and integrations.
• 3+ years of experience with Spark and Scala for stream processing.
• Deep expertise in Java concurrency modules and multi-threading implementations.
• Proven experience migrating Java code from JDK 7 to 8 or 11+.
• Strong proficiency in Core Java and Spring modules.
• Experience with Maven build scripts and JUnit for code coverage.
• Working knowledge of RDBMS (Oracle) and Vertica data warehouse.

Preferred Skills

• Python programming experience.
• Knowledge of Drools rules engine, Hazelcast, or distributed caching frameworks.
• Experience with Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana (ELK stack).
