Description

You will own the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable, fault-tolerant Kafka-based data pipelines. Operating with an automate-first philosophy, you will deliver solutions across DEV, QA, UAT, and PROD environments.

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve Kafka messaging issues and performance bottlenecks within defined SLAs.
• Design and implement distributed systems and microservices using Java or Scala.
• Administer and troubleshoot Kafka clusters in multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Provide technical direction, code reviews, and guidance to other engineers.
• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions using Agile methodology.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Confluent Kafka, including deep knowledge of producers, consumers, topics, partitions, brokers, and replication.
• Proficiency in Java or Scala; Python experience is a plus.
• Strong background in distributed systems architecture and data management.
• Experience designing high-throughput, low-latency data pipelines.
• Knowledge of data serialization formats (JSON, Avro, Protobuf) and schema evolution.
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing Kafka on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proficiency in DevOps practices and automation.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Kafka Streams API for real-time data processing.
