Description

You will design, deploy, and maintain Confluent Cloud and Apache Kafka platforms across all environments, owning the infrastructure lifecycle from provisioning to performance tuning.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Confluent Cloud environments, configuring clusters, topics, partitions, and replication policies.
• Automate Kafka infrastructure deployment using Infrastructure as Code, specifically Terraform.
• Integrate applications, databases, and enterprise systems with Kafka, including configuring Connectors and Schema Registry.
• Monitor platform health, throughput, consumer lag, and broker utilization, configuring alerts and operational dashboards.
• Troubleshoot producer, consumer, and connectivity issues while supporting upgrades and capacity planning.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Apache Kafka architecture, administration, Producers, and Consumers.
• Strong proficiency with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code and managing Kafka Connect and Schema Registry.
• Experience integrating Kafka with Microsoft Azure Integration Technologies, including REST APIs and Microservices.
• Deep understanding of event-driven architecture and streaming integration patterns.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of Kafka security configurations, including SASL/SSL, OAuth, RBAC, and API key management.
• Ability to conduct technical design reviews and collaborate with enterprise architects and cloud engineers.

Preferred Skills

• Experience implementing multi-region and disaster recovery strategies for Kafka clusters.
• Familiarity with Stream Governance and establishing environment standards and naming conventions.
