Description

You architect and implement Windows kernel-mode drivers to enable monitoring, policy enforcement, and defensive controls.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement Windows kernel-mode drivers for file systems, registry, and network filters.
• Research Windows OS internals to design bypass-resistant security protections.
• Collaborate with research teams and user-space developers to integrate kernel-level modules.
• Perform advanced debugging and crash analysis using WinDbg and ETW to identify root causes.

Required Skills

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Windows kernel development.
• Expert understanding of Windows internals (memory management, I/O processing, process/thread management, object manager).
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ and Windows Driver Kit (WDK).
• Proven experience in security spaces such as EDR, anti-malware, or intrusion detection.
• Familiarity with exploitation techniques, hooking, rootkit behaviors, and countermeasures.
• Ability to engineer secure, reliable, and high-performance kernel modules.

Preferred Skills

• Background in reverse engineering, malware research, or kernel exploit analysis.
• Experience with Microsoft WHQL testing, driver signing, and kernel submission pipelines.
