Description

You will own key aspects of managing the production Kubernetes cluster.

Responsibilities

• Manage production Kubernetes clusters, including upgrades, monitoring, capacity planning, security, and developer experience.
• Proactively monitor, respond to, and enhance alerts, setting up automated alert handling when appropriate.
• Create and maintain incident response runbooks in collaboration with service development teams.
• Debug and resolve infrastructure and developer experience issues related to the Kubernetes platform.
• Evaluate and adopt OSS projects to simplify Kubernetes cluster management and define developer paved paths.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of professional experience with strong expertise managing on-prem/baremetal Kubernetes clusters.
• Knowledge of Linux or UNIX and experience operating software systems at scale.
• Proficiency in at least one of Go, Python, or Javascript.
• Experience with shell scripting for implementing medium complexity automation workflows.
• Comfortable with Ansible and GitOps principles.
• Strong understanding of storage and networking fundamentals, including network proxies and containerized storage.
• Proven ability to debug complex issues spanning the entire technology stack.
• Applied understanding of software engineering principles and strong problem-solving skills.
