Description

You will own the management and stability of production Kubernetes clusters.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage production Kubernetes clusters, handling upgrades, capacity planning, and security.
• Monitor, respond to, and enhance alerts, implementing automated handling where appropriate.
• Create and maintain incident response runbooks in collaboration with service development teams.
• Debug and resolve infrastructure and developer experience issues related to the Kubernetes platform.
• Evaluate and adopt open-source projects to simplify cluster management and define paved paths for developers.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of professional experience managing on-prem or baremetal Kubernetes clusters.
• Strong knowledge of Linux or UNIX and experience operating software systems at scale.
• Proficiency in at least one of Go, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience with shell scripting for implementing medium complexity automation workflows.
• Comfortable with Ansible and GitOps principles.
• Strong understanding of storage and networking fundamentals, including network proxies and containerized storage.
• Proven ability to debug complex issues spanning the entire technology stack.
