Description

You will own the adoption, optimization, and support of the Kubernetes platform for development teams.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Assist development teams in onboarding applications to the Kubernetes Platform using streamlined processes.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Development to build solutions that meet developer needs.
• Implement GitOps practices with Release Engineering to ensure streamlined CI/CD workflows.
• Troubleshoot issues for development teams related to containerized applications and Kubernetes deployments.
• Create documentation, best practices, and conduct training sessions to guide teams in adopting cloud-native capabilities.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of software development experience with hands-on expertise in cloud-native technologies.
• Expertise with Kubernetes, OpenShift, Tanzu, Docker, and/or Podman.
• Experience with Kubernetes observability tools (metrics, monitoring, logging, alerting, tracing).
• Practical knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools, including GitHub Actions, and strong DevOps understanding.
• Experience utilizing GitOps tools like ArgoCD.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Go, Python, Java, or Node.js).
• Experience with shell scripting for automation.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with container security practices, including image scanning and Kubernetes RBAC.
