Description

Own the operations, maintenance, and stability of an enterprise Kubernetes platform managing 100+ clusters.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Perform cluster maintenance, upgrades, patching, and health checks across the production environment.
• Troubleshoot platform issues impacting application availability, including networking, scheduling, and resource constraints.
• Support on-call rotations, incident response, RCA, and post-incident reviews.
• Document runbooks, procedures, and troubleshooting guides for platform operations.
• Assist application teams with Kubernetes best practices and integration with enterprise tools.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on Kubernetes experience in production environments.
• Deep understanding of Pods, Deployments, StatefulSets, Services, Ingress, Namespaces, RBAC, ConfigMaps, and Secrets.
• Experience with enterprise Kubernetes platforms such as Tanzu, OpenShift, AKS, or EKS.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working in regulated, production environments with high availability requirements.
• Ability to work independently and handle critical issues under pressure.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with VMware Tanzu Kubernetes and multi-cluster management.
• Scripting skills in Bash or Python for automation.
• Exposure to Contour/Envoy, Fluent Bit, Dynatrace, or Harbor/JFrog.
