Description

Manage day-to-day operations for an enterprise Kubernetes platform spanning 100+ clusters.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Perform cluster maintenance, upgrades, patching, and health checks.
• Troubleshoot platform issues impacting application availability and participate in incident response.
• Support on-call rotations and provide after-hours support.
• Assist application teams with Kubernetes-related issues, best practices, and runbooks.
• Manage enterprise tools including Ingress, logging, monitoring, and container registries.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of strong hands-on Kubernetes experience in production environments.
• Deep understanding of Pods, Deployments, StatefulSets, Services, Ingress, Namespaces, RBAC, ConfigMaps, and Secrets.
• Experience with enterprise Kubernetes platforms such as Tanzu, OpenShift, AKS, or EKS.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience troubleshooting networking, scheduling, and resource issues.
• Ability to work independently and handle critical issues in regulated environments.
• Experience managing large multi-cluster environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with VMware Tanzu Kubernetes.
• Scripting skills (Bash, Python) for automation.
• Exposure to tools like Contour/Envoy, Fluent Bit, Dynatrace, or Harbor/JFrog.
