Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Leads the design and development of automation applications for AS/RS, conveyors, sortation systems, pallet/case handling, AGVs/AMRs, and goods-to-person systems.
  • Defines application architecture integrating WMS, WCS, PLCs, and material handling equipment.
  • Develops routing, sequencing, task allocation, exception handling, and recovery logic for warehouse automation systems.
  • Integrates warehouse automation systems with WMS, ERP, MES, and host systems, ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability.
  • Oversees testing, simulation, tuning, and performance optimization of automation solutions.
  • Owns end-to-end project delivery including scope definition, scheduling, milestones, budgeting, risk management, and change control.
  • Leads Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), commissioning, and operational readiness activities.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and vendors to ensure successful project execution.
  • Drives continuous improvement in system performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Provides technical leadership and mentors engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Skills Required:

  • Demonstrates strong expertise in application development within warehouse automation or intralogistics environments.
  • Shows hands-on experience with Warehouse Control Systems (WCS) and integration with WMS platforms.
  • Possesses solid knowledge of PLC systems and industrial automation technologies.
  • Understands warehouse processes, material flow, and automation system design principles.
  • Exhibits experience with industrial communication protocols and system integration.
  • Demonstrates strong project management capabilities, including planning, execution, and delivery of complex projects.
  • Applies knowledge of automation systems such as AS/RS, conveyors, sortation, and AGVs/AMRs.
  • Shows ability to manage risks, budgets, timelines, and stakeholder expectations effectively.
  • Exhibits strong problem-solving and analytical skills in complex system environments.
  • Communicates effectively with technical teams, clients, and stakeholders.

Education:  Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science) or a related field
