Description

Leads the design, architecture, and end-to-end delivery of automation applications for warehouse logistics systems.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Define application architecture integrating WMS, WCS, PLCs, and material handling equipment.
• Develop routing, sequencing, task allocation, and exception handling logic for AS/RS, conveyors, sortation, and AGVs/AMRs.
• Oversee testing, simulation, tuning, and performance optimization of automation solutions.
• Own project delivery including scope, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and FAT/SAT commissioning.
• Mentor engineering teams and drive continuous improvement in system reliability and scalability.

Required Skills

• 10+ years in application development within warehouse automation or intralogistics.
• Hands-on experience with Warehouse Control Systems (WCS) and WMS integration.
• Strong knowledge of PLC systems, industrial automation, and industrial communication protocols.
• Expertise in AS/RS, conveyors, sortation, pallet/case handling, and AGV/AMR systems.
• Proven project management capabilities including planning, execution, and stakeholder management.
• Experience integrating warehouse systems with ERP and MES platforms.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science).
• Experience with goods-to-person systems and advanced simulation tools.
