Description

You will lead the administration, configuration, and maintenance of database platforms.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and maintain Oracle database platforms, including installations, upgrades, migrations, and patching.
• Ensure performance, availability, and scalability of critical database systems while implementing backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Troubleshoot incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and resolve database performance issues.
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to design and optimize database solutions.
• Automate administrative tasks using scripting and ensure data security and compliance across environments.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional experience in database administration.
• Advanced expertise with Oracle, specifically RAC, ASM, RMAN, Data Guard, and Performance Tuning.
• Proven experience with at least one RDBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server).
• Proven experience with at least one NoSQL platform (MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, or Couchbase).
• Strong proficiency in SQL and query optimization.
• Solid knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems.
• Ability to provide supervision in SQL/NoSQL (Oracle) environments.
• Experience building ETL and Datawarehouse processes.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with Shell Scripting or Python.
