Description

You will provide L3 engineering support for Red Hat Linux and AIX platforms, resolving complex production issues through root cause analysis and performance troubleshooting.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead OS upgrades, hardware refresh, and platform modernization initiatives across enterprise environments.
• Own build, patching, upgrades, remediation, and decommissioning activities for Red Hat Linux and AIX systems.
• Administer high availability and clustering solutions using Red Hat Pacemaker and Veritas Cluster Server, including failover/failback and troubleshooting split brain issues.
• Drive operational automation using Ansible and Shell/Bash scripting.
• Maintain documentation, ensure audit readiness, and facilitate knowledge transfer to L2 engineers.

Required Skills

• 7-10 years of hands-on enterprise Unix/Linux platform engineering and operations experience.
• Deep expertise in Red Hat Linux and AIX 7.x, including OS lifecycle management.
• Experience with Red Hat Satellite for system builds, content lifecycle management, and provisioning/patching.
• Proficiency in administering clustering and high availability using Pacemaker and Veritas Cluster Server.
• Strong automation skills using Ansible, Shell, and Bash.
• Familiarity with Git/Bitbucket workflows for change and incident tracking.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in retail environments.
