Description

You will own the stability, security, and automation of Linux server infrastructure in Irvine, CA.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot complex system issues and manage escalations for high-availability environments.
• Design, implement, and monitor Linux infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Automate administrative tasks and deployment processes using Bash, Python, or Perl.
• Execute system backups, disaster recovery planning, and data restoration procedures.
• Mentor junior administrators and lead root cause analysis for critical incidents.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in Linux system administration.
• Strong scripting proficiency in Bash, Python, or Perl.
• Hands-on experience with configuration management tools: Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
• Deep knowledge of Linux OS internals, patching, upgrades, and security hardening.
• Experience managing web services (Apache, Nginx) and databases (MySQL).
• Proficiency in vulnerability management, firewall configuration, and intrusion detection.
• Ability to conduct capacity planning and system tuning.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with high-availability cluster management.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies.
