Description

You will manage, support, and optimize enterprise Linux environments and workload schedulers.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage and troubleshoot Linux services including DNS, NIS, LDAP, Altair Accelerator, and IBM LSF.
• Perform kernel-level debugging, OS patching, and system performance tuning.
• Automate routine and complex system tasks using Ansible, Python, and Unix shell scripting.
• Maintain secure Linux environments aligned with CISSP and security best practices.
• Document system procedures, configurations, and operational runbooks while maintaining version control.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of strong Linux / Unix system administration experience.
• Hands-on expertise with IBM LSF workload scheduler.
• Proficiency in Unix shell scripting and text processing tools.
• Automation skills using Ansible and Python.
• Experience with kernel debugging, patching, and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of Linux security hardening and compliance practices.
• Experience working in hybrid (on-prem + cloud) environments.
