Description

You will manage the Linux environment for the database team, ensuring system stability and performance. You will own the release pipeline for system changes and resolve production issues through cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve production job failures via cross-team collaboration.
• Execute weekend maintenance activities to apply system changes during non-peak hours.
• Develop user documentation, guidelines, and presentation materials.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of Linux administration and support processes.
• Perform Linux patching, upgrading, and troubleshooting to maintain system integrity.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in Linux Administration (or a Master’s/Doctorate degree).
• Proficiency with Ansible and Ansible Tower for automation.
• Strong command of Linux commands and shell scripting.
• Experience with Linux performance tuning and optimization.
• Knowledge of High Availability and Disaster Recovery protocols.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Preferred Skills

• Solid working knowledge of AWS and AWS Cloud.
• Experience supporting databases running on Linux.
• Experience working with Federal Government clients.
