Description

You will manage the Linux environment for the database team, ensuring system stability and performance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve production job failures through cross-team collaboration.
• Execute weekend maintenance activities to apply system changes during non-peak hours.
• Perform Linux patching, upgrading, and troubleshooting to maintain system integrity.
• Own the release pipeline for system changes and resolve production issues.
• Develop user documentation, guidelines, and presentation materials.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in Linux Administration (or a Master’s/Doctorate degree).
• Proficiency with Ansible and Ansible Tower for automation.
• Strong command of Linux commands and shell scripting.
• Experience with Linux performance tuning and optimization.
• Knowledge of High Availability and Disaster Recovery protocols.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Preferred Skills

• Solid working knowledge of AWS and AWS Cloud.
• Experience supporting databases running on Linux.
• Experience working with Federal Government clients.
