Description

What You'll Do: 

• Design, implement, administer, and support enterprise Linux environments across on-premises and cloud platforms.
• Manage and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Oracle Linux, and Ubuntu systems.
• Deploy, configure, monitor, and optimize Linux-based infrastructure for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Build and manage cloud-native infrastructure and services on AWS.
• Develop automation solutions using Python and Bash scripting to improve operational efficiency.
• Manage source code repositories, workflows, and automation pipelines using GitHub.
• Perform system provisioning, configuration management, patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
• Monitor system health, capacity, security compliance, and operational performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and platform issues.
• Implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
• Collaborate with DevOps, application, security, and infrastructure teams to support platform requirements.
• Drive platform modernization and infrastructure automation initiatives.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge repositories.
• Participate in production support, incident management, and root cause analysis activities.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 12-15 years of experience in Linux system administration and platform engineering.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
• Oracle Linux
• Ubuntu Linux
• Strong understanding of Linux kernel, system services, networking, storage management, and performance tuning.
• Expertise in user management, access control, security hardening, and patch management.
• Experience managing enterprise-scale Linux environments in production.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services and infrastructure management.

• Experience developing automation tools for provisioning, monitoring, deployment, and operational support.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and automation frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with GitHub and Git-based source control management.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
• Experience integrating automation into deployment and operational workflows.
• Knowledge of configuration management and release management processes.
• Strong understanding of Linux security, hardening, compliance, and vulnerability management.
• Experience implementing security controls and access management policies.
• Knowledge of system monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions.
• Experience with incident management, problem management, and root cause analysis.
• Ability to support mission-critical production environments with high availability requirements.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

• Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading technical initiatives.
