Description

You will lead Linux systems engineering for the client datacenter, owning the golden image initiative and mentoring technical staff.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Own the Linux golden image initiative across the organization.
• Design, implement, monitor, and troubleshoot systems within assigned areas.
• Review work plans and system designs to advise on technical improvements.
• Analyze and revise existing system logic and documentation.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of extensive experience in UNIX/Linux engineering.
• Deep understanding of the Linux Kernel.
• Expertise in Linux troubleshooting, testing, hardening, and performance tuning.
• Proficiency with package management: Artifactory, Satellite server, RPM tools (ip, dnf, nmcli), apt, ubiquity, debian installer, or ufw.
• Strong automation and scripting skills in Perl, Bash, and Python.
• Experience with configuration management tools including Puppet and Chef.
• Hands-on experience designing and optimizing Linux file-systems.
• DevOps experience utilizing Ansible, Terraform, vCenter, VMware ovftool, HashiCorp Vault, and Packer.
• Experience with GitLab for creating workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and setting variables.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
