Roles and Responsibilities:

• Administer, configure, and maintain enterprise Linux servers and guest OS images across development, test, and production environments.
• Manage Linux system installations, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle activities; ensure reliability, stability, and compliance with operational standards.
• Diagnose and resolve complex incidents across OS, hardware, storage, and network layers; perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline administrative tasks, including provisioning and configuration management workflows.
• Support critical outages and major incidents; monitor performance and capacity, tune kernel parameters/services/resources, and improve efficiency.

Skills Required:

• 8-15 years of relevant experience in Linux systems administration and operations.
• Linux administration for server and guest OS lifecycle management (installations, upgrades, patching, troubleshooting).
• Virtualization administration experience with VMware and KVM for Linux workloads.
• Automation and scripting to streamline provisioning, configuration, and operational workflows.
• Security and networking fundamentals, including user access/permissions, authentication mechanisms, vulnerability patching, and audit support.

Good to Have:

• Experience with cloud platforms, high availability, and disaster recovery for critical infrastructure.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
