Description

Administer and maintain enterprise Linux servers and guest OS images across development, test, and production environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage Linux system installations, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle activities to ensure reliability and compliance.
• Diagnose and resolve complex incidents across OS, hardware, storage, and network layers through root cause analysis.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline provisioning, configuration management, and administrative tasks.
• Monitor performance, tune kernel parameters, and support critical outages and major incidents.

Required Skills

• 8-15 years of experience in Linux systems administration and operations.
• Expertise in Linux server and guest OS lifecycle management including installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Virtualization administration experience with VMware and KVM for Linux workloads.
• Strong scripting and automation skills to streamline operational workflows.
• Fundamental knowledge of security and networking, including user access, authentication, and vulnerability patching.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with high availability and disaster recovery for critical infrastructure.
