You own stability, availability, and performance for large-scale Linux environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer and troubleshoot RHEL, Oracle Linux, CentOS, and SUSE in production.
• Install, configure, and maintain Veritas Cluster Server (VCS) for high availability and disaster recovery.
• Troubleshoot complex OS issues including kernel panics, boot failures, and resource contention.
• Coordinate with data center teams to diagnose hardware faults and manage OEM tickets.
• Lead L3 incident resolution, bridge calls, and root cause analysis for P1/P2 outages.

Required Skills

• 8–12+ years in enterprise Linux system administration with L3 ownership.
• Deep expertise in Veritas Cluster Server (VCS), VxVM, and VxFS.
• Strong SAN/NAS experience: LUN provisioning, zoning, multipathing, and NFS/SMB.
• Advanced troubleshooting of kernel, storage, and cluster-level failures.
• Scripting proficiency in Bash; Python is preferred.
• Experience with AWS and Azure cloud concepts.
• Familiarity with VMware and KVM virtualization.
• Strong documentation discipline for SOPs, MOPs, and RCAs.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Ansible for automation.
• Knowledge of ITIL-aligned processes and change management.
